VisionMOS announces the Flexible Multimedia Platform
 

Mesa, Arizona – May 29th, 2007 – The VisionMOS FMP is built using a high performance multimedia engine, the Zoran COACH 9.  The baseline platform is in a digital still camera configuration, making use of a high quality Micron CMOS image sensor.  The platform is modular in terms of form factor, but fully portable. 
 

A feature set includes:

  • High resolution image sensor

  • High performance image capture, including digital zoom and variable resolution

  • Video capture in MOV or WMV video formats at variable resolutions and frame rates

  • LCD display with graphical user interface

  • USB 2.0 high speed PC interface

  • SD card for media storage

  • Capture of still images, MPEG 4 video and audio

  • Extended feature image review, including in camera editing

  • 3xAA alkaline battery powered

  • Highly customizable firmware package

The FMP is ideal for customers that require a customized reference design for consumer multimedia applications.  This may include new image sensors, display use, form factor changes, and firmware / user options variations.
