VisionMOS announces availability of micro Digital Video Recorder mDVR3

VisionMOS International Inc. announces the availability of its latest standard video product the mDVR3.  The system reduces system size and adds features to the popular recorder product line.  Sample quantities are available now.

Mesa, Arizona – August 15, 2011 – VisionMOS is now in production with our latest single board micro digital video recorder system, the mDVR3 (VM-A013). This highly integrated system is designed to record from NTSC or PAL video sources, store them to on-board media, and enable playback via machine commands or user inputs. The advancements on the platform include a significant reduction in size from our second generation design, addition of numerous user features including motion detection and recorded graphical overlays, and customized graphical user interface. Advanced video and audio recording of D1 (720 x 480 pixel) resolution is standard. Extensive controls allow for easy embedded integration into existing display and camera designs.
 

The mDVR3 represents the latest in embeddable micro digital recorders through our collaboration with Zoran. It is one of the world’s smallest systems of its kind, and offers a unique capability of completely machine controlled operation. Video storage is done through an advanced video and audio codec, and up to 32 GB micro SD card slot. Available interfaces also include USB 2.0, serial controls to a microcontroller, battery backed real-time clock and variable button interfaces for stand-alone operations. A convenient serial interface board is also available to assist engineers with rapid evaluation and integration of the system.

The mDVR3 is optimized for small size and power, making it ideal for portable, miniature and concealed video systems. It is extremely lightweight (< 11g) and can operate on a single power supply or battery. Applications include advanced optical systems like public service video recorders, smart displays, embedded automotive cameras, and hidden security systems.
