VisionMOS International
Inc has shipped mDVR recorder systems to the University of Michigan
Transportation Research Institute to support testing applications.
Mesa, Arizona – March 15, 2010 –
VisionMOS has shipped a number of micro Digital Video Recorder systems
to UMTRI to support their testing efforts. UMTRI performs vehicle,
highway and passenger safety testing using public and private sources
for a number of projects. The mDVR systems will assist them in their
efforts for testing of passenger restraint systems and ergonomics.
The VisionMOS mDVR platform is one of the
world’s smallest and most versatile video recorder platforms. It has a
unique combination of user and machine interfaces for control, and is
able to record video from a number of input sources. It features the
ability to record VGA video at real time rates, and a number of
interfaces to support data transfer, display, and power options.
Under the contract with UMTRI custom
software was developed to significant extend recording time with a
standard SD card, and enable that control from a custom micro controller
interface. A processor controller system has been developed to control
the mDVR directly and supply custom camera inputs.
