Advanced Micro Digital Video Recorder (mDVR3)

Overview

The VisionMOS mDVR3 (Advanced Micro Digital Video Recorder) is an evolution of our popular digital recorder family.  Measuring about 2" x 2", it substantially shrinks the footprint of our previous generation, while increasing the features.  The system can record and playback NTSC or PAL format video, and has a rich feature set including smart power control, USB 2.0 HS, integrated micro SD card, motion detection, JPEG still image capture, and user created overlays.

The mDVR3 can record D1 resolution video at 30 frames per second, and it allows user control to adjust many features including compression, color, frame rate, and others. A sophisticated control 'language' is available via serial interface to enable all features of the system, although it is also possible to operate via user buttons. The mDVR3 is equipped with an integrated GUI to assist menu functions as well.

Customization of the system is possible that can incorporate new software features, cabling options, power controls, and connector styles. The basis of the system may also be used for new designs through VisionMOS engineering services.

High Definition Micro Digital Video Recorder (mDVR-HD)

Overview

The VisionMOS mDVR-HD (High Definition Micro Digital Video Recorder) is the evolution of our popular credit card size recorder subsystem.  Smaller than a credit card, it has the ability to capture digital or sensor inputs in H.264 high definition, or standard video through analog NTSC inputs.  HD recordings are stored in SD card or internal memory depending on your design choices, and may be played back through integrated HDMI, analog NTSC (standard definition), and digital (display) port options.

The mDVR-HD may act as a stand alone product with all interfaces, buttons and GUI controlled directly through the multimedia processor.  It is also small and versatile enough to be incorporated into another system through one of several port options.  To further enhance control, a fully remote capability is integrated into the system to allow it to act as a subsystem device for a controlling processor.

Customization of the system is possible that can incorporate new hardware designs, mechanical layouts, and software functions.  Packaging options and volume production are also available.
