Advanced Micro Digital Video Recorder (mDVR3)
Overview
The VisionMOS mDVR3 (Advanced Micro Digital Video Recorder) is
an evolution of our popular digital recorder family. Measuring about 2" x 2", it substantially shrinks the footprint of our previous generation, while increasing the features.
The system can record and playback NTSC or PAL format video, and has a rich feature set including smart power control, USB 2.0 HS, integrated micro SD card, motion detection, JPEG still image capture, and user created overlays.
The
mDVR3 can record D1 resolution video at 30 frames per second, and it allows user control to adjust many features including compression, color, frame rate, and others.
A sophisticated control 'language' is available via serial interface to enable all features of the system, although it is also possible to operate via user buttons.
The mDVR3 is equipped with an integrated GUI to assist menu functions as well.
Customization of the
system is possible that can incorporate new software features, cabling options, power controls, and connector styles.
The basis of the system may also be used for new designs through VisionMOS engineering services.

High Definition Micro Digital Video Recorder (mDVR-HD)
Overview
The VisionMOS mDVR-HD (High Definition Micro Digital Video Recorder) is
the evolution of our popular credit card size recorder subsystem.
Smaller than a credit card, it has the ability to capture digital or
sensor inputs in H.264 high definition, or standard video through analog
NTSC inputs. HD recordings are stored in SD card or internal memory
depending on your design choices, and may be played back through
integrated HDMI, analog NTSC (standard definition), and digital (display) port options.
The
mDVR-HD may act as a stand alone product with all interfaces, buttons
and GUI controlled directly through the multimedia processor. It is
also small and versatile enough to be incorporated into another system
through one of several port options. To further enhance control, a
fully remote capability is integrated into the system to allow it to act
as a subsystem device for a controlling processor.
Customization of the
system is possible that can incorporate new hardware designs, mechanical
layouts, and software functions. Packaging options and volume production
are also available.

Second Generation Micro Digital Video Recorder (mDVR2)
Overview
The VisionMOS mDVR2 (Advanced Micro Digital Video Recorder) is a
sub-credit card size system that is able to capture and play back AVI video, still images, and
audio. It has a full list of embedded system features, including USB 2.0
HS, internal micro SD card, and analog or
digital input and output.
Advanced Codec options include the ability to tune compression settings,
frame rate and use of H.264.
The mDVR2 has reduced size and power compared to the original system,
and improved D1 resolution. It may be a stand alone product with direct connection to video
source and display, power supply conditioning and user controls including
embedded GUI. The mDVR2 is also small enough to embed in another system.
Processor controls enable a separate control to operate all functions
remotely. Customization of this system for specific peripheral hardware,
software utilities, and packaging options are available.

Image Development Kit (IDK)
Overview
The VM-A005 Imaging Development Kit (IDK) is a powerful, low-cost prototype system for
design of imaging applications. The kit is based on the Altera
Cyclone III family of FPGAs, and is enabled with a close link between
integrated USB interfaces and PC based software. The kit includes FPGA
and Image sensor hardware, USB communications, embedded firmware,
PC image capture and analysis software, and design examples with
documentation – everything you might need to get a project started
immediately.
The IDK is ideally suited for design
projects that may require analysis of images, image sensor validation,
image and color processing algorithm development, and test or
prototype systems. Out of the box, the system comes with an
application that is fully USB enabled. All development, programming,
and operation (including image capture) can be done via the same
simple USB interface. Software and examples are included.

FPGA Development Kit (FDK)
Overview
The VisionMOS VM-A004 FPGA Development Kit (FDK) is a powerful and
compact modular system that may act as the basis of new designs and
prototypes for a variety of systems. At the heart
of the system is a Altera Cyclone III FPGA, with accompanying
interfaces that enable it to interact with different user
environments. One major distinction of the
FDK is that it can be operated entirely through the supplied USB 2.0 interface. Using this
interface, new code can be designed, compiled, downloaded, debugged, and
operated without configuration changes.
The FDK is modular and may be expanded via a flexible header to
include devices like image sensors, ADCs, audio codec or other
enabling devices that may use the FPGA programming and data interface
to the PC to their advantage. The VisionMOS FDK comes with source
code and everything needed to get you up and running quickly.
